The Rattle-Scale Wyrm

The Rattle-Scale is one of the biggest Wyrms, only second in size to the Greater Wyrm. They are fairly easy to tame and train, and are one of the only kinds that will actually take a rider.

Rattlers range from 20 to 40 feet long. Longer individuals exist, but these are rare. The bright scales come in a small range of color, most being a shade of green, with some blues, yellows, and a few browns and rarely black and reds. Their scales make a sussurating rattling noise when they shake themselves, which is quite a thing to hear and see. This is used as a challenge to other Wyrms.

Rattlers breathe a hot orange-yellow flame that comes out in a large, long stream. They are affectionate to an extent with their owners and their families, but aren't very keen on having strangers near them. (They make this very clear with a great shake and a blast of fire to the seat of the offending strangers pants.)

So far, this one is my favorite. I just like how all of him came out.
